Chaos, Cookies & Candid Smiles of 2022
Assalamualaikum and Hai 🙂
One year later, here I am again. So, how was your “Raya Terkejut” everyone? I’m pretty sure the whole of Malaysia felt the pressure and chaos that day. Rendang not cooked yet, lemang and ketupat still not ready… same goes for me! But honestly, that moment turned into one of the cutest memories ever, right? 💕
Unfortunately, this year my older sister couldn’t come home for Raya since she had to work on the first day. So, we only celebrated with my other siblings. Like every year, I never miss giving out duit raya to all my family members, including my mom. This year, I also tried doing a small side business selling Raya cookies. I never expected it to blow up! I got endless orders, to the point I barely had enough sleep just to make sure everything was ready. Tired, yes, but so worth it. I’m really happy because the results always surprise me whenever I put my heart into something.
On the first day of Raya, I went to Tok Mek’s house and then headed to Rantau Panjang, where most of my relatives live. Honestly, I didn’t feel like going anywhere since the night before wasn’t restful at all we only reached there close to Zohor. The first thing I did was pray. And of course, as always, make up berejam last-last kena buang juga sebab nak solat. Girls will always be girls, right? 😅
And finally, look at the last picture when the photographer said “candid” my nephew’s happiness is so clear. He’s super photogenic! That’s my little memory of this Raya Terkejut. These simple moments we create together will always stay as our precious memories. I love all of them dearly.
So, how was your Raya? Wanna share with me?
Assalamualaikum and Bye 🙂
