It’s been 2 years and 1 month since I started working here and what a journey it has been.

So much has happened, and I’ve learned more than I ever imagined. From knowing almost nothing to becoming someone I never thought I could be.

When I was first offered the role as a Bahasa teacher, I was honestly scared. I doubted myself but deep down, I also believed I could do it. And I did. I’ve taken on so many roles, moved between different responsibilities, and stepped out of my comfort zone countless times. From being an introvert who used to fear interactions… to someone who now understands the power of connection.

I still remember how I used to avoid people. Now, I see how beautiful it is to build relationships. And nothing compares to the feeling of walking into school early in the morning and being greeted with hugs and bright smiles, hearing little voices shout, "Cikgu Zatie!" or "I love you, Cikgu! You're the best!"

Those moments, they made everything worth it. Time flew by so quickly, and now, 31 July 2025 marks my last day with the children. It breaks my heart, because in my hardest times, they were my light. They cheered me up without even knowing it with their laughter, their hugs, their pure, innocent love. That’s why I love working with children. Their hearts are still untouched by the harshness of the world.

I hope this goodbye is not the end. I truly wish I’ll still get the chance to stay in touch with these amazing little souls.
